John Howard Society
Story Book Program Volunteers - The John Howard Society is looking for volunteers to help out with their Story Book Program at the Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre (KRCC). This program is to promote family communication between the inmates and their families by having the inmates narrate a story book where the child will be able to listen and view the book at the same time. The volunteers record story books that are read by an inmate for a child member of their family. The volunteers will then send the CD with the story book to the intended recipient. Volunteer Office Administrative Assistants - You can gain experience in your field in a supportive environment. A minimum requirement of 3-6 hours per week is required and preference will be given to applicants willing to put in a 6 month or longer time commitment.
