VERNON - Water service will be interrupted Tuesday and Wednesday in areas of Vernon while the city conducts repairs.

The city is replacing mainline valves and some customers will be without water from 8 a.m. Tues., March 17 to 4 p.m. Wed., March 18, according to a media release.

The areas affected  include:

  • 621 to 650 Black Rock Road
  • East Vernon Road from Pottery Road to Black Rock Road
  • 540 to 588 Pottery Road
  • 448, 454, 468, 474, 476, AND 482 Pottery Road
  • 245 TO 292 French Road
  • 9703 & 9705 Buchanan Road

The city asks those who will be without water during repairs to prepare in advance by having a short-term water supply stored. The city says they'll try to have the water back on by 4 p.m. but there's a chance the project will take longer.

Traffic disruptions are also expected. Detour signs or lane restrictions will be in effect during construction.
