KAMLOOPS - VDub and the other turtles are off to a speedy start for the 15th Annual VW Turtle River Races! Terry Lowe and the staff at Volkswagen of Kamloops announced that this year’s VW Turtle River Race proceeds will again go to Western Canada Theatre youth programming.
They also announced some exciting changes to the format and location of the race. This year, the races will be held at Riverside Park Beach. From there, you will be able to see and cheer on your turtles from start to finish on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
We at WCT are excited about the new location and format, not to mention the amazing prize packages. We are sure to make this, our sixth involvement with the VW Turtle River Race, its biggest and most engaging community event. The official launch was today at Save-On-Foods and included support, and delicious coffee, from Bill Johnson, owner of Turtle Mountain Coffee Company.
