BC Living Arts
BC Living Arts Event Volunteers - On July 10 – 11, BC Living Arts is hijacking Music in the Park for a music and arts festival at Riverside Park. Positions are: Backstage Artist Hosts, Gestural Loop Assistant, Art Installation Hosts, Promotion Hosts, Refreshment Garden Hosts, Fundraising Hosts, Photography Assistants, and the Tidy Team. 16+ to volunteer and family volunteering friendly. 250-682-2936.

Kamloops Dragon Boat Club
Dragon Boat Festival Volunteers - The Kamloops Dragon Boat Festival is looking for volunteers to help out with this year's festival on Aug. 8! Positions include: Boat Holders, Registration/Info Table, and Security. 15+ to volunteer. 250-377-5813.

Western Canada Theatre
VW Turtle River Race Ticket Seller - Volunteers are needed to help Western Canada Theatre raise funds by selling raffle tickets for our 14th Annual VW Turtle River Race. Responsibilities include tracking the number of tickets sold during shifts, handling monies, documenting sales, and reporting to the fundraising coordinator. YMCA/YWCA
YMCA Camp Deka Group Leaders - Group Leaders will provide opportunities and experiences for campers which promote growth and development in spirit, mind, and body through the embodiment of our core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility). Group Leaders will provide leadership and role modelling to campers ages 8-16. They will assist with planning and delivering programming and facilitating skills development. The ideal staff member is a flexible team player who embodies the YMCA values and has a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
CIBC Run for the Cure Organizing Committee - Be part of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure organizing committee and a dynamic team raising funds towards breast cancer research in your local community from Mar. to Nov. 2015 (Event takes place on Sun. Oct. 5, 2015). Positions to be filled: Co-Run Director, Fundraising, Co-Run Director, Logistics. Scouts Canada - Kamloops Area
Section and Non-Section Scouters - The Kamloops Area Scouts are looking for volunteers to support their scouting programs. Positions are: Section Scouters - Working with a team of other Scouters to help youth (ages 5 – 26) down their Canadian path towards  a world of adventure, outdoor experience, friendship, and fun. This position requires a 1 year commitment. Non-Section Scouters - (Positions not working directly with youth.) The Gleaning Abundance Project
Harvest Leaders - The Gleaning Abundance Project are looking for Harvest Leaders to help ensure the success of each and every pick. They make sure all volunteers know how to pick and sort the fruit and use a ladder safely. They weigh the harvest, and coordinate the split & delivery. Our harvest leaders are personable, responsible and reliable people. 18+ to volunteer. Harvest Season is June to November, 7 Days a week, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 250-851-6111.

Canadian Mental Health Association - Youth Clubhouse
Youth Activity Volunteer – Volunteers will implement activities in a social, recreational setting while working with at risk youth. Volunteers should be flexible, mature, with the ability to work independently or in group settings, and with the ability to function as a positive role model/mentor/relationship builder with youth. 19+ to volunteer.  250-374-0440 Ext: 107.

Interior Community Services
Meals On Wheels Drivers - We're looking for volunteers to pick up meals at the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) and deliver them to clients' homes (Southshore and Northshore) between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Tues. & Thurs. The drivers brighten the day for many people in our community that are home bound by showing concern, checking in, and having a friendly short chat. The volunteers will use their own vehicles and gas. A tax receipt will be issued at the end of the year for mileage driven. 18+ to volunteer. 250-554-3134.

The Gleaning Abundance Project
Harvest Volunteers - The Gleaning Abundance Project are looking for individual & group volunteers to help harvest excess fruit from residential trees. The volunteers will share in the harvest with the other shares going to the homeowners and various non-profits. 13+ to volunteer, and family volunteering friendly. Hamlets at Westsyde
Recreation Volunteer - The Hamlets provides assisted living and complex care services for seniors and young adults with acquired brain injuries. Volunteers are needed for one-to-one visits, program support, walk and roll visits, helping staff with outings, and the buddy program. 16+ to volunteer. 250-579-9061.?

St. John's Ambulance
Adult Brigade Member - Volunteers will participate as First Aid experts at community events. Minimum Requirements: Standard First Aid Course (or equivalent), CPR-C, higher first aid knowledge is, of course, also welcomed. The Brigade offers ongoing training to its members at no cost. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 60 hrs a year and be available for all types of events. 19+ to volunteer. 250-372-3853.

Royal Inland Hospital
Laboratory Reception Volunteers - The volunteers will enhance the quality of laboratory visits for patients, families and visitors by providing direction, support and assistance in the reception and waiting area. We're looking for volunteers who are flexible, show good judgment, discretion, and able to work as part of a team with the public and staff. 18+ to volunteer. 250-314-2313.
