CHILLIWACK – The BCHL is opening the 2014-15 season with the Bauer Showcase in the Fraser Valley this fall.

The Vernon Vipers will open the showcase at Prospera Place in Chilliwack against the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday, Sept. 19. The Snakes will take on the Victoria Grizzlies on Saturday.

All 16 BCHL teams will play two games in the tournament which will count in the regular season standings. It’s the third year for the event.

“The showcase has proven to be a popular event for both the people looking for talent and also the teams and players,” Brent Mutis with the BCHL said in a media release.

"The chance for scouts to see all players under one roof in one weekend is extremely valuable."

For more details about the Bauer BCHL Showcase check out the league’s website.
