Vipers and Terriers to clash in RBC Cup semi-final

VERNON – Dexter Dancs power-play goal in the extra period powered the host Vernon Vipers past the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots 3-1 and into the semi-finals at the national junior A hockey championships.

Brett Mulcahy and Demico Hannoun scored in regulation time for the Vipers, while Austin Smith turned aside 22 shots for the win.

The Vipers take on the Terriers in the semi-finals Saturday at 2 p.m.

In the other semi-final, the Dauphin Kings face the Carleton Place Canadians Saturday at 6 p.m.

The gold-medal game goes Sunday at 4:30 p.m., live on TSN.
