VERNON - Greater Vernon Recreation Services is looking for interested players 45+ years for a new competitive men’s hockey league.

The season runs from October 2015 until March 2016 and registration will be open until September 14, 2015. Prior to August 15, team fees are $4,500 including taxes; after that date, the cost is $5,000. Individuals can register for $375 including taxes.

Teams are permitted to have three players under the age of 45, but all players except goalies must be at least 40 years or older. One referee and one scorekeeper will be provided for every game.

Recreation Services currently runs a successful competitive nine-team men’s hockey league, Boston Pizza Hockey League, and are looking to add this new league so that players have somewhere to keep the competitive juices flowing once they move on from the BPHL.

For more information or to register, please contact Mike Knights at mknights@vernon.ca or 250-550-3669.
