PENTICTON - The Penticton Vees will host the Merritt Centennials this Wednesday and the event is expected to be wicked.
Not only will the puck drop for an exciting game of hockey at the South Okanagan Events Centre starting at 7 p.m., but fans at the game Oct. 8 can participate in the Wicked Wednesday car raffle, and the prize this week is a 2005 4-door Pontiac Sunfire. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $2 and proceeds go to the School District #67 breakfast program.
The game between the Vees and Centennials is expected to be tight with both teams sporting identical 5-1-0-0 records. Fans can get discounted tickets at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. On game night, tickets are $5 for adults and seniors for any seat in the house. Children 18 and under get in free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Wicked Wednesday event is the first of eight taking place this 2014-15 season.
