Unsolved crimes in the Central Okanagan

KELOWNA - RCMP in the Central Okanagan are turning to the public for tips in some of the recent crimes in the community.

A theft last month on the 1200 block of Rodonodo Place in Kelowna is still being investigated, according to a Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers media release.

The morning of Nov. 11 a theft was reported that had occurred the night before. A grey Hyundai was broken into and three backpacks, a Game Boy, volley ball shoes and a brown leather wallet were stolen.

After the theft the credit card was used at three different businesses. Police are looking to identify the man in the image taken from the security camera at one of the stores.

In Peachland, a unique ATV trailer was stolen the night of Dec. 9 or early morning of Dec. 10 from the 4200 block of San Clemente.

It’s a black double-wide ATV u-built model with yellow painted steel frame and pressure treated wood sides and tailgate. It has very high suspension, spare tire on the front and three horseshoes welded to front. The plate number is UTF51X.

One or more vandals are also being sought after an Italian restaurant in the Westridge Shopping Centre in West Kelowna had three windows smashed. The crime was reported just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 12. A witness reports seeing a person approximately 6' tall in dark clothing and a hoodie walking away after hearing a smashing noise.
