Trial date set for man accused of killing 16-year-old CJ Fowler

KAMLOOPS – The jury-trial for a man accused of murdering his 16-year-old girlfriend is slated to begin next September.

Damien Taylor has been in custody since his arrest for the death of CJ Fowler in January of this year.  He is charged with second-degree murder.

In December of 2012, Fowler’s body was found by a man walking his dog near a Guerin Creek ravine. She was from the Gitxsan village of Gitanmaax, near Terrace.

The trial will begin September 28, 2015.
