Travelling choir of orphaned HIV-AIDS kids victimized by Canadian thieves

NANAIMO, B.C. - Canadian thieves have handed a rude welcome to a group of young, orphaned HIV-AIDS survivors from Kampala, Uganda.

RCMP in Nanaimo, B.C., say thieves broke into a bus carrying the Watoto (wuh-TOW'-tow) Children's Choir after the kids performed in the Vancouver Island city.

Mounties say cash and several iPads were stolen.

They say there is very little evidence that would help officers track the criminals.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The Watoto Children's Choir has just started a six-month tour of Canada and will appear in Courtenay, Comox and Campbell River this weekend.
