Transit driver injured during alleged assault

KELOWNA - A Kelowna transit driver was injured during an alleged assault by a passenger last night.

Mounties were told the assault was in progress at about 7 p.m. but were unable to get to 4105 Gordon Drive in time to catch the 15 - 17 year old suspect who fled on foot.

The driver, 44, was treated at Kelowna General Hospital for minor injuries.

The suspect was wearing a blue jacket, grey ball cap with a flat brim and baby blue NY Yankees lettering. A second man with the suspect also fled the scene.
