PENTICTON - A man with no criminal history will face a charge of possessing cocaine for trafficking purposes.

The 36-year-old Penticton man was picked up when Penticton RCMP drug task force members stopped a vehicle on Wade Avenue and arrested him.

Cpl. Brad Myhre said officers then executed a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of Wade Avenue and found an undisclosed amount of cocaine packaged for street level sales and associated drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The man was released to appear in court on March 26 to face a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
