Staff members from Big White Ski Resort have ventured off the mountain to lend a helping hand at Wendy’s 17th annual Dream Lift Day in Kelowna, BC.  Dozens of mountain staff, along with Big White’s beloved mascot, The Loose Moose, joined forces with Kelowna residence at both the Harvey Avenue and Rutland locations of Wendy’s to raise funds for this incredible event.

Wendy’s restaurants from Penticton to Kamloops will be donating a whole day's proceeds to help make dreams for kids come true.  This is the Sunshine Dreamlift Foundation’s biggest one-day fundraiser and it is now incredibly in its 17th year.  Last year's event raised $99,742.58 and with these funds children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses are taken on an amazing trip to Disneyland, the happiest place on earth!

The Loose Moose has proven to be a moose of many talents; flipping burgers, working the drive-thru and interacting with patrons, he was a customer favorite throughout the day!  “It’s so nice to be reminded of all the generous people in our midst, on and off the mountain. This is such a great cause and I know that those of us who have come off the mountain to help out couldn’t be happier to be here today!” commented Addy Gowe, Guest Services and Events Manager at Big White Ski Resort.  She continued by saying: “Big White Ski Resort is proud to be a part of such a worthwhile cause and the staff is so happy to contribute their time and efforts in hopes of beating last year’s total!”
