QUEBEC - Aleksandra Wozniak and Eugenie Bouchard will play Canada's first two singles matches in its Fed Cup World Group 1 playoff tie with Slovakia.

Wozniak, of Blainville, Que., will open the best-of-five tie Saturday facing Jana Cepelova in the first singles match. Then Bouchard, of Westmount, Que., will play Kristina Kucova.

On Sunday, Bouchard will open against Cepelova before Wozniak takes on Kucova. The final match will be a doubles contest with Toronto's Sharon Fichman and Ottawa's Gabriela Dabrowski taking on Cepelova and Janette Huscova.

The matches were established at the official draw Friday. The tie will be played on an indoor hardcourt on the campus of Laval University.

The winner will advance to the World Group I for 2015 while the loser will compete in the World Group II. Canada and Slovakia have only met once in Fed Cup play, with the Slovaks winning 5-0 in Bratislava in 1997.
