KAMLOOPS – If you’re one of the many readers itching to catch up on bestsellers, you’ll have the chance to search for favourite authors and crack some book spines on Wednesday. The Thompson-Nicola-Regional District Library System is having its annual sale.

Aberdeen Mall will provide space for a host of fiction and non-fiction titles, CD’s and DVD’s.

Jacquie Kirkey, a manager at the library says the items are “fairly reasonably priced” and there will be lots to choose from.

“(It’s) lots of stuff that may have been popular a year or two ago,” Kirkey says, adding new stock will be put out each day.

The collection will be both hard and soft-cover titles. All of the proceeds will go towards funding library programs, such as a senior’s tea or reading events for children.

Kirkey says the books that don’t sell will supply other book sales within the district. Unsold items will be donated to specific groups within the community.

The book sale will be open during regular mall hours:

Wednesday, Oct. 1: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Thursday – Friday, Oct. 2-3: 9:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday, Oct 4: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, October 5: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
