Spring showers start the week in the Okanagan

Looking down at Kelowna from the Upper Mission area.

OKANAGAN - March 2017 will come to a grey end in the Okanagan.

The next few days will be fairly similar, according to Environment Canada. Today, March 27, will be cloudy with some showers throughout the day and sun later in the day. The North Okanagan will be a little cooler, with highs of around 10 Celsius, but while the Central and North Okanagan will see a high of 12 C, there’ll also be a breeze with gusts up to 40 km/h. Tonight the showers and breeze should die down, with a low of 3 C overnight.

Tomorrow it’ll be cooler with a 70 per cent go showers starting around lunch and a high around 8 C. Overnight the temperature will drop to 3 C with cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be fairly dreary as well, with a high of 9 C, 70 per cent chance of showers and clouds predicted for the whole day. The showers and clouds will continue into the evening as temperatures fall to 3 C.

Thursday, though, might be the nicest day of the week, with a mix of sun and cloud. A high of 13 C is expected for the day, dropping to -1 C overnight with clear skies.

Clouds will return heading into the weekend though. Friday will see grey skies for the whole day and a high of 11 C. The mercury will drop to 4 C at night.

Currently the weekend is looking grey as well, with highs around 14 C and a chance of showers starting Saturday night. This kind of weather is pretty normal for this time of the year, with highs in the low teens and lows just above freezing.
