Spike belts used to stop car during late-night shenanigans

KAMLOOPS - RCMP are investigating two young men who fled from police late last night.

Around 2:30 a.m. police responded to a 'suspicious' vehicle at the Silver Sage Trailer Park in Kamloops. The vehicle was found nearby on Mount Paul Way, however when police arrived on scene and tried to pull over the vehicle, it high-tailed it out.

The vehicle was later found travelling on East Shuswap Road and was stopped with the use of spike belts.

The two men were taken into custody and were released. They are expected to appear in court in relation to these events. An investigation into incident continues.
