Smoke expected to cause delays and cancellations at the Kamloops Airport

KAMLOOPS – Anyone flying out of Kamloops today should expect delays and may see cancellations as smokey skies cause visibility issues at the airport.

The smoke today, July 10, has caused visibility in the area around the airport to drop below the safe minimums, airport manager Fred Legace says in a media release.

He suggests passangers check with their airlines to find out the status of their flight.

On the airport’s website, as of 2:30 p.m., three arrivals and two departures have been delayed.

Legace says it's uncertain how long the visibility issues will remain.
