Seniors Advisory Committee application

KAMLOOPS – The City of Kamloops is seeking applications from two representatives from the community at large 55+ to serve on a voluntary basis for a two year term (2014/15) for the following:

Seniors Advisory Committee

This role involves acting as an advisory body to the Social Planning Council regarding access to City services for seniors, the elderly and their families and to enhance the lifestyles of seniors in our community. Additionally, this committee indentifies and suggests solutions regarding barriers to seniors, and seeks to form partnerships with the community as an advocate for seniors’ issues. This committee will meet minimum four times during each calendar year (with a potential of 8 meetings for special events).
