Comedian Jerry Seinfeld has put Kelowna on his 2013 comedy tour.

Known for poking fun at the little things in life, Seinfeld's tour will travel internationally in the coming year with two stops currently scheduled in B.C. The local show takes place May 3, 7:30 p.m. at Prospera Place. Tickets are on sale now.

From Jerry Seinfeld's personal archives—a feature of his official website—Seinfeld says his approach to the topics he chooses for his routines comes from a childhood of watching other stand-up comedians on TV. He says he fell in love with them and he's just as fascinated with stand up comedy today.

"Somewhere out there are ten-year-olds like I was just waiting to get hooked on this strange pursuit," Seinfeld writes. "This is for them. I'm just hoping somehow it will keep this silliness going."

He says when he began his own career, he saved every appearance on every show he ever did and now he's picking three bits each day that still amuse him, while including new and current items.

Also coming to Prospera Place is The Price is Right Live! interactive stage show, March 5 at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. The show allows the audience chances to become a contestant with classic games such from plinko, cliffhangers and the big wheel. The show finishes with a showcase showdown and everything is played exactly just like the TV show. Tickets go on sale Dec. 21.

Visit the Prospera Place website more information including ticket prices on these shows and others.
