SD67 appoints new director of instruction

PENTICTON - The Board of Education of School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha) is pleased to announce that Todd Manuel has been appointed Director of Instruction – Student Support Services, effective August 1, 2015.

For the past seven years Todd has worked as a school-based administrator and teacher in the district. He is currently Principal of ConnectED Learning Centres.

Upon joining the district Todd assumed a role as a Special Education Teacher at Penticton Secondary School. In 2011, he was appointed Vice-Principal at Penticton Secondary.

In addition to his teaching role, he served as the District School Completion and Transition Helping Teacher for two years and the Department Head for Student Services at Penticton Secondary for three years. Before joining the district, Todd taught in School District No. 43 (Coquitlam).

Todd has a Master of Education in Educational Practice from Simon Fraser University and Teacher Certification from the Professional Development Program at Simon Fraser University.

We congratulate Todd on his new appointment.

Todd succeeds Mrs. Pamela Butters who has accepted the position of Director, Support Services, Awsaj Teaching and Learning Centre in Doha, Qatar, effective August 1, 2015.

Pam has been a Director of Instruction, vice-principal, Special Education teacher and classroom teacher in various schools in the district since 1991. The Board thanks Pam for her commitment and contributions to her class, school, district and the teaching profession. We wish her all the best as she moves on to exciting and challenging endeavors in Doha.
