Scorching heat returning to Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - After slightly below normal temperatures this past weekend we can expect things to warm up again this week, eventually climbing to highs in the mid-30s.

Environment Canada is calling for a normal high of 23 Celsius today, May 30, with highs of 26 C to 28 C expected the rest of the week. Once the weekend hits we can expect to see temperatures of 33 C and 35 C though.

Overnight lows will also be above the seasonal normal of 10 C much of the week, though tonight is expected to drop a degree cooler. By Thursday night a low of just 16 C is forecast.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected every day this week followed by sunshine for the weekend.
