KELOWNA – A blur of red streaks down a snowy slope, there are “ho, ho, hos” coming from the Village Centre Mall, and you spotted a distinctive white-bearded man at breakfast. No, you’re not imagining things – Santa Claus is everywhere at Big White this festive season as part of their Big White Holiday Experience. From December 18, 2013 to January 4, 2014 Big White revels in the festive season with everything from ski and board with Santa days, to Santa’s Cinema, and pancake breakfasts with the man himself. Big White certainly makes the holidays an unforgettable family experience, even giving guests a helping hand with a great festive deal.

Big White's Christmas Gift To You: Big White is giving away Christmas gifts early this year with Inn at Big White’s Christmas Special. Stay two nights and ski two days over Christmas and the third night and third day of skiing is absolutely free. The Inn at Big White is only steps from the slopes and features outdoor heated pool and hot tub, fitness area, the all new Blarney Stone Irish Tavern, complimentary underground parking, ski and board storage and full service with our 24 hour front desk. The special is valid between December 20 - 26, 2013 and bookable by quoting L0/1314 at time of booking.

Dress Like Santa and Ski for Free: A free lift ticket will be awarded to the first 30 people to arrive at the Village Centre Mall in full Santa or Mrs. Claus attire on December 21. It’s a sight to see as they all ski, or board, down the Hummingbird run to the bottom of the Ridge Rocket Express for their group photo. Get a few snaps yourself and meet them there at 9am.

Santa’s Cinema: Santa is opening up his workshop on December 22 & 23, so people can snuggle up in his cozy, Christmas lit cabin to watch a selection of family favourite Christmas flicks. Starting at 5pm, the audience can expect such classics as; The Muppet Christmas Carol, White Christmas, Elf, Frosty the Snowman, Miracle on 34th Street, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Pancakes With Santa: With some busy days ahead of him, it’s important that Santa gets a good breakfast that will keep him going. Guests are invited to have the most important meal of the day with Santa on December 23 & 24. He’ll be munching on his favourite breakfast – pancakes with maple syrup – at the Happy Valley Day Lodge from 8 - 10am. This is a great opportunity for any boys and girls who need to get some last minute requests in.

Christmas Eve at Big White: Big White has a wonderful festive tradition – their Christmas Eve Torch Light Parade. Starting at 5:30pm Big White’s very own ski pros speed down the mountain and through the village with their torches lighting up the night sky. This is followed by an impressive firework display that will get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

Ski & Snowboard With Santa on Christmas Day: After Santa’s gruelling night of delivering gifts he likes nothing more than to enjoy a ski down the slopes at Big White. Meet him at the Village Centre Mall at 10am, and head out for a few Christmas Day runs lead by the man in red.
