KAMLOOPS - The lights are back on and stores are back in business at Aberdeen Mall after a power outage yesterday led to an evacuation.
Kamloops Fire Rescue and B.C. Hydro crews responded to the mall yesterday afternoon, July 27, and found that a roof top air conditioner had leaked onto the electrical panel.
Platoon Capt. Jeff Bell said the panel was fried and there was no way of knowing how long the power would be out.
Aberdeen Mall general manager Sandra Desrosiers confirms it's back to business as ususal today.
"Power has been restored and we are now open," Desrosiers says.
