This outstanding effort helped the first-place Rockets win all three games last week. The Rockets are undefeated so far this 2014-15 campaign.

Last Wednesday night the defenceman recorded a career-high five points with two goals and three assists earning first star honours in a 7-5 victory over the visiting Vancouver Giants.  Bowey then picked up two assists as part of a 5-4 overtime win on the road against the Everett Silvertips on Friday, and one assist on the road Saturday in a 6-4 victory against the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Bowey, a 19-year-old from Winnipeg, Man., is playing in his fourth WHL season with the Rockets.  Selected by the Capitals in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft, the Rockets’ captain has 11 points in four games so far this season after recording 60 points in 72 games in 2013-14.

Also considered for the award this week was Joseph Blandisi of the Barrie Colts with three goals and six assists for nine points in three games, and Ryan Penny of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies who scored five goals with one assist for six points in three games.
