Police are hunting for three suspects after a woman was robbed of jewelry at knife-point in Kamloops Sunday night.

Mounties responded to a report of a robbery in the Valleyview Arena parking area about 10:15 p.m., June 9. They say three young adults were in a vehicle when another vehicle entered the lot to park nearby. Two of the vehicle's occupants approached and asked for directions before pulling out a knife and demanding a woman from the first vehicle turn over her ring.

There were no injuries to the victims and the suspects drove away.

Hours later at around 1:20 a.m. June 10, an officer on patrol noticed a vehicle make a sudden turn into an industrial area near Kal Tire on Victoria Street moments after passing the marked police car. The officer thought the action was suspicious and decided to turn around and look for the vehicle. The vehicle was found on its roof in the alley with nobody inside and matched the description of the one involved in the robbery earlier in the evening. Police learned the vehicle was stolen out of Calgary, June 6.

Members continue to work on identifying the people who occupied the stolen vehicle and may have been involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information can contact Kamloops RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
