KELOWNA - Throughout the week of Sept. 12, weather permitting, road resurfacing will occur on K.L.O. and Lakeshore roads.

As crews prepare for paving, motorists can expect delays on both roads starting Monday, Sept. 12, and should plan to use alternate routes.

On Saturday, Sept. 17 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., K.L.O Road between Richter Street and Lakeshore Road will be closed.

Businesses in the construction area can be accessed via Richter Street.

Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15 and Friday, Sept. 16, Lakeshore Road between Barrera and Cook roads will be closed to northbound traffic.

Southbound traffic, as well as access to the Cook Road Boat Launch, will be maintained during the paving process.

The City of Kelowna and construction workers appreciate the patience of residents, businesses and motorists as this year’s pavement management program wraps up.

The City’s Pavement Management Program prioritizes the repair and extends the life of existing city roads. This year’s program includes 11 road segments and more than 8 kilometres of resurfacing.
