Hosting Canada's longest running, early season cross country skiing camp is a brand new adventure for the two local resorts joining forces.
With 40 centimetres of snow at higher elevations and dual passes in the offering, Silver Star Mountain Resort and Sovereign Lake will provide access to more than 105 km of trails.
"Skiers across Canada and the U.S. have come to trust our early snow and excellent coaching to start off their season," says Nordic Manager of Silver Star Resort.
The resorts open Nov. 16, but registrations are currently arriving for the 2012 Cross-Country Supercamps that start Nov. 19. Five day camps run Nov. 19 - 23, and Nov. 26 - 30. A biathlon option to experience shooting on skis is available during weekend camps.
Silver Star - Sovereign Lake is a training ground for world racers. The first set of scheduled international competitions take place Dec. 8 - 9.
