RCMP on hunt for hit and run driver

KAMLOOPS - The Kamloops RCMP need your help to find the driver involved in a hit and run early Sunday morning.

Investigators are looking for witnesses to the crash at Columbia Street and Summit Drive around 5:20 a.m.

"A Nissan Sentra was travelling in the left hand turn lane and turned left onto Summit off of Columbia hill and somebody rear ended them," says Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Nathalie Fehr. "They (the driver) didn't get a chance to see how many occupants or anything like that so we've got very limited information on the suspect vehicle."

Fehr says they are looking for a small, grey, pick-up truck. It will have substantial front end damage from the crash. The driver of the Sentra wasn't hurt.

Anyone with information on the hit and run are asked to call the Kamloops detachment at (250) 828-3111.

To contact reporter Howard Alexander send him an email at halexander@infotelnews.ca or call (250) 491-0331.
