Ramsey named to all-American prospects game

PENTICTON, BC –Penticton Vees forward Jack Ramsey (95) was named to the 40 man roster for the second annual CCM / USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, which will be held September 26th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The game, which will be held at the CONSOL Energy Center, features 40 of the top draft eligible prospects for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Ramsey is one of 28 players named to the Prospects Game that appear on NHL Central Scouting’s “Futures List,” which highlights players pegged to go in the top 60 of the draft.

Ramsey, 17, is entering his first season with the Vees after playing high school hockey in his hometown of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Last season as a junior, Ramsey collected nine goals and 27 points in 24 games and was a plus 23. Ramsey is committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the fall of 2014.

Vees incoming goalie recruit Hunter Miska suited up in the inaugural event last year in Buffalo, New York.

Ramsey makes his Vees debut tonight when the Vees host the West Kelowna Warriors in the back half of a home-and-home. The two teams tied 3-3 Sunday night in West Kelowna. Face-off tonight is 7pm at the South Okanagan Events Centre and tickets are just $5 across the board. Tickets are available at the Valley First Box Office at the SOEC or online at www.valleyfirsttix.com
