Public help sought in rifle theft

Penticton Crime Stoppers is asking the public to be on the lookout for two men who might know something about a theft from an unlocked camper trailer a couple weeks ago.

Three rifles were taken. Two of the guns were chained and padlocked together.

 

The men were in the Eckhardt Ave. area around 3 p.m. Nov. 17 when the crime took place. Crime Stoppers is not specifying whether the men were involved in the theft or may have information that could lead to an arrest.

 

The first man is described as 25-30-years-old, approximately 6'2", slim build, dark hair with a few days of whiskers on his face. He was wearing a hoodie and reddish orange jacket.

 

The second man is described as 25-30-years-old, slim build, approximately 5'9".

 

Anyone with information about the person/persons responsible for this crime and wishes to remain anonymous is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.southokanagancrimestoppers.ca 

 

Information leading to an arrest can result in a cash reward of up to $2,000. Crime Stoppers is not a police program and does not subscribe to call display. Tipsters will never testify in court.
