Recreational users are being advised that a portion of the Kettle Valley Railway Trail - between Gillard Forest Service Road and Chute Lake Lodge - will be closed to motorized traffic from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 13 to accommodate the Okanagan Trestles Tour biking event.
Non-motorized use along this portion of the trail will still be allowed. All other designated motorized-use areas along the trail will remain accessible.
The Province often closes recreation sites and trails to accommodate special events, such as family reunions and recreation competitions.
