KAMLOOPS - Police are now turning to the public to help them find the 87-year-old man they have been searching for around the Riverside Park area.

Alexander McIntosh of Kamloops last contacted family on Sunday, Aug. 18 at about 8 p.m. Investigators located his car in the west end of the parking lot at Riverside Park late Monday morning. A search of the area by RCMP police dog services, helicopter, fire service water craft and RCMP were unsuccessful. So far, nobody has reported seeing the man parking his car or seeing him after while he traveled from it.

Alexander is described as 5'11", weighs 192 lbs and has grey hair and blue eyes. It's unknown what he was wearing. He has been a resident of Kamloops for many years.

Police don't know how long the car was parked in Riverside park, but they don't suspect foul play in McIntosh's disappearance. The investigation is ongoing and will be until he is located.

Anyone with information that might help police find McIntosh can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
