KELOWNA – Police have released a sketch of a man they say is wanted in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in Kelowna this summer.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release the incident happened after 7 p.m. on July 26 in the area of Lawrence Avenue and Ethel Street.

“The suspect allegedly coerced the young girl to get into his vehicle and the victim was driven from the area of Richter Street and Lawrence Avenue to a parking lot in the vicinity of Lawrence Avenue and Ethel Street,” O’Donaghey says. “The suspect parked the vehicle at the second location, at which time there was an incident of sexual touching that is alleged to have occurred.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man between 40 and 50 years old with dark hair, brown eyes and a scar on the left side of his torso. He wore beige khaki dress shorts and black shoes and drove a dark-coloured Hyundai with silver rims.
