KAMLOOPS - A police hunt was launched after a man allegedly groped another man near Kitchner Crescent during the lunch hour Friday.

Kamloops RCMP were told of the incident shortly after 12:30 p.m. A man was walking along the riverbank when he was approached by an unknown man. The second man spoke briefly with the first, then suddenly grabbed the victim inappropriately before running away.

Mounties called for the police dog unit but the RCMP super-sniffer couldn't locate the alleged groper.

The suspect is described at caucasian, about 5'9" tall, in his mid-twenties with short brown hair, slim build and wearing a black T-shirt and red shorts.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous, 1-800-222-8477.
