PENTICTON - RCMP are warning residents not to send money overseas after a Penticton man fell victim to a scam recently.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police could do little for a man who sent $34,000 to Ivory Options on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

Ivory Options is an unlicensed binary options broker located in Anguilla.

“We want to remind people not to send money overseas to companies," Wrigglesworth says. "No matter how good the deal sounds, it’s probably too good to be true.”
