CHASE - A third incident of someone impersonating a police officer was reported in the North Shuswap area.
Chase RCMP received a report from an area couple on Friday between 3 and 4 p.m. They say they were driving east on Squilax-Anglemont Road near Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park on the North Shuswap and were followed by a small black car with flashing blue and red lights on its windshield.
The couple didn't stop, continuing towards home. When the couple turned off the main road the car continued east. They told police the vehicle maintained a normal speed for the road and there was no pursuit.
Though the couple didn't get a description of the driver, they were able to tell police the driver was alone in the vehicle. Police confirmed there were no RCMP members working in the area at the time of the incident.
There were two similar incidents last Wednesday also under investigation.
The investigation into this incident continues. Anyone with information can contact the Chase RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
