Penticton Search and Rescue is holding an open house tomorrow, Sept. 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Penticton SAR hall 251 Dawson Ave.

PenSAR was established in 1971, and today has approximately 40 members who annually give over 10,000 volunteer hours.

We are one of the ten busiest teams in the province and respond to over 50 incidents each year, and that number is increasing.

This is a tightly knit team of professional volunteers who are seeking applicants with a commitment to serving their community, as the typical member gives at least 200 hours per year.

First aid training and experience in any outdoor-related disciplines are desired but not required for application.
