Penticton road closures for Wednesday, Aug. 23 running of ITU Multisport Festival

Several road closures are in effect for today's running of the Penticton ITU Multisport World Championships Festival.

PENTICTON - Following Tuesday's day off, the Penticton 2017 ITU Multisport World Championship Festival is back to the races, and along with that are some temporary road closures in Penticton.

For the Wednesday, Aug. 23 running of the Cross Triathlon, Vancouver Avenue and Lower Bench Road from Ellis Street to Corbishley Avenue, will be closed.

Eastbound traffic will be maintained, as will westbound buses from Grandview to Abbott.

There will be resident access only to Vancouver Place between 5 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Riddle Road will have resident access only between 5 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and Marina Way will have limited access during the same hours.

Abbott Street between Marina Way and Vancouver Avenue will have resident access only between 5 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Main Street from Eckhardt Avenue to Lakeshore Drive will be subject to a rolling temporary closure between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for the Parade of Nations.
