UPDATE: Out of control car hits house in Kelowna

A vehicle crashed into a house at the corner of Loseth Road and Highway 97 in Kelowna, Thursday, April 20, 2017.

KELOWNA - A medical emergency caused an elderly woman to lose control of her vehicle and crash into a home late this morning.

The driver of a blue Subaru lost control of her vehicle in the 1500 block of Loseth Road at about 11:20 a.m. today, April 20.

The vehicle jumped the curb, plowed through a fence and hit a house at the corner of Loseth and Highway 33 in Rutland. 

A man was home at the time but was not injured. There is significant damage to the home and property but the driver is expected to recover.
