One dead following motorcycle crash on Coquihalla Highway

KAMLOOPS - A man is dead following a motorcycle crash on the Coquihalla Highway late yesterday afternoon.

Three motorcycles and a pickup were travelling together on the highway when one of the motorcycles entered the centre median and lost control around 5:40 p.m. yesterday, June 7, according to an RCMP release.

The 61-year-old male driver crashed and was ejected from the bike south of the Inks Lake Interchange.

An air ambulance transported the driver to Royal Inland Hospital with life threatening injuries but he did not survive his injuries.

Central Interior traffic services continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
