VERNON - Police have finally located an Okanagan woman who’s been under the radar for the past several months.

Rebecka Hill, 24, was reported missing by her family in January 2016, which prompted a missing persons notice from the RCMP.

But it turned out authorities had already been looking for her. At the time, Hill was wanted on a B.C.-wide warrant for possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, trafficking and a breach of undertaking.

Less than a week after the missing persons report was issued, Hill’s family notified police she made contact but Hill remained on the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers website for the next few months until this week when her photo was taken down.

According to court records, Hill is due in court in Nanaimo today, April 19, on drug trafficking and breach charges. Records state she is currently in custody.
