Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board Appoints New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Okanagan-Mainline Real Estate Board (OMREB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynette Keyowski as Executive Director, effective April 1, 2014.

OMREB is a professional association serving approximately 1,100 REALTORS® [i] who practice in a broad geographic region that includes the Okanagan, Shuswap and Revelstoke areas.  Guided by core values of transparency, respect and integrity, collaboration, pursuit of excellence and ethical behaviour, OMREB is committed to advancing the REALTOR®[ii] profession and to supporting members to achieve success and impact as community leaders who positively influence the quality of life in the communities in which they live and work.

“We are delighted that Lynette will be taking on the role of Executive Director at OMREB,” says Karen Singbeil, President of the OMREB Board of Directors and Chair of the Executive Director Search Committee.  “Among a host of motivated candidates who emerged in the national search process facilitated by Janet David + Associates Inc., Lynette stood apart in terms of her directly applicable experience, focus on building relationships and her notable track record of contributing to the real estate profession at the local, provincial and national levels.”

Ms. Keyowski has a background in economics and not-for-profit association management. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Canadian Real Association Executive (CRAE).  Ms. Keyowski has most recently served in the role of Manager of Property Information Services at the Association of Regina REALTORS® Inc. in Regina, Saskatchewan.

“Having been part of a progressive environment in organized real estate in Saskatchewan, I am thrilled to be joining a forward-thinking organization like OMREB. I look forward to working with members, staff and the Board of Directors to continue to provide excellent service to REALTOR® members and to continuing to collaborate with colleagues in British Columbia and other provinces,” says Ms. Keyowski.
