Okanagan Falls, Kaleden targeted by thieves

A truck was reported stolen from Banbury Green Campground in Kaleden, one of two rural thefts last week reported by the Penticton RCMP.

PENTICTON - Rural areas around Penticton were targeted by thieves last week.

RCMP spokesperson Rick Dellebuur says sometime overnight on Wednesday, Oct 5 two storage containers were broken into at B.C. Ecochips on Weyerhaeuser Road in Okanagan Falls. Approximately $5,000 worth of tools and equipment were taken from the containers. 

On Oct. 8, police responded to Banbury Green Campground in Kaleden following a report of a vehicle theft. A grey 2006 Ford F350 diesel pickup was overnight on Friday Oct. 7.

The campground manager also reported to police damage to her 2005 Toyota Camry. The vehicle’s passenger window had been smashed, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
