EDMONTON - Customs officials at Edmonton International Airport have intercepted a cross-stitch pattern that your grandmother probably didn’t order.
Upon closer examination, officers discovered the item declared as “cotton cross stitch” was actually a sealed package containing 275 oxycodone pills.
Insp. Gary Peck of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team says Canadian Border Services Agency notified them of their find.
Trenton William Zeyha of Grande Prairie, Alta., has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
