PENTICTON - Travel Penticton has a new team member.
Austin Weaver has been hired as the new marketing director, taking over from Raquel Meriam, according to a Travel Penticton media release.
Weaver has nine years experience in the tourism industry in other B.C. communities.
Weaver will take the lead in Travel Penticton’s We’re Still Happening campaign that was created to get the message out the City of Penticton is still open for business in spite of flooding issues in the Okanagan.
“I have been a visitor to Penticton for many years and I’m eager to start making a difference in the local tourism community,” Austin says in the release.
