KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Two men who claimed they were promised their repaired Model T Ford have instead launched a lawsuit against a member of the Kamloops, B.C., Vintage Car Club.
Dennis Coates filed a notice in a Kamloops court claiming he and his associate, Russ Hay, dropped off their 1926 Model T roadster with Al Paulsen for repairs nearly a decade ago and haven't seen the car since.
The lawsuit says Paulsen claimed to have returned the vehicle in 2013, but he didn't return the original vehicle.
Paulsen is a past-president of the Kamloops chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada.
Coates and Hay are seeking nearly $14,000 for the value of the Model T and $1,500 for repairs and court fees.
Paulsen has not filed a response and none of the allegations in the notice of claim have been proven in court. (Kamloops This Week)
