KAMLOOPS - Love Sarah McLachlan but are disappointed you cannot make the Kelowna show? Not to worry, a Kamloops date was announced this week and tickets are set to go on sale Friday.
McLachlan’s Shine On tour will be heading through B.C. the last half of October and while most tour dates were announced back in May, the Kamloops stop is a last minute addition. She will be stopping at the Interior Savings Centre on Oct. 23, the day before the Kelowna show. Other B.C. stops include Victoria, Prince George and two in Vancouver. The Canada leg of the tour will end Nov. 21 in Newfoundland.
McLachlan is a multi-platinum Canadian singer-songwriter with albums selling more than 40 million worldwide, eight Junos and three Grammies. Two songs, "Building a Mystery" and "Last Dance" found on her 10-time platinum album, "Surfacing," each earned Grammies.
McLachlan is known for founding the Lilith Fair tour showcasing female musicians and raising more than $7 million for local and national charities over three years.
The Facebook, Live Nation and Front of the Line pre sales will happen Thursday, Sept. 4 and then will go on sale to the general public Friday. VIP tickets featuring seating in the first five rows, a signed photo and a chance to meet the Canadian star will also be available for the show.
