Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down eight cents, or 2.17 per cent, to $3.61 on 7.6 million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:CGC). Drug manufacturer. Down 35 cents, or 5.13 per cent, to $6.47 on 6.5 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down 30 cents, or 2.03 per cent, to $14.45 on 6.5 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down 14 cents, or 2.43 per cent, to $5.63 on 5.7 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial Services. Up 14 cents, or 0.72 per cent, to $19.62 on 5.4 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down 10 cents, or 1.97 per cent, to $4.98 on 5.2 million shares.

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (TSX:QSR). Fast food restaurants. Down $2.81, or 4.49 per cent, to $59.80 on 811,352 shares. Restaurant Brands International Inc. says it earned US$86.3 million in its latest quarter, up from US$49.6 million in the same quarter last year. The corporate parent of Tim Hortons and Burger King, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says the profit amounted to 36 cents per diluted share for the three months ended Sept. 30 compared with 24 cents per diluted share a year ago. On an adjusted basis, Restaurant Brands says it earned $201.4 million or 43 cents per diluted share. That was up from an adjusted profit of $151.6 million or 32 cents per diluted share a year ago.
